Adelaide Competition - Seeking New Management Committee

Published Fri 11 Apr 2025

Dear Softball Community,

We’re thrilled to announce that the Adelaide Softball Association (ASA) is transitioning to a new Board of Management. This marks a positive step toward securing the growth, sustainability, and governance of our competitions for the future.

Here’s what this change means:

  • Dedicated Leadership: A focused team will work to ensure strong governance and long-term growth for our competition.
  • Support for Clubs: Club representatives can now dedicate their energy to their vital roles at the club level, ensuring the sustainability of programs.
  • Independent Direction: This aligns with ASA’s strategy to establish itself as an independent body, demonstrating good governance and sustainability beyond Softball SA’s management.
  • Updated By-Laws: A refreshed set of By-Laws, developed with stakeholder feedback, introduces a flexible and independent structure for the board.

This evolution benefits not only our competition but also the broader softball community. With support from the Softball SA Board, this initiative aims to enhance the experience for players, clubs, and stakeholders across the state.

We’re now calling for nominations for key roles, including:

Deputy Chair
Take on a key leadership role in ensuring effective governance, supporting the Chairperson, and fostering strategic alignment with Softball SA. Drive ethical decision-making, operational efficiency, and strong leadership within the softball community.
