Softball SA Pathways Classic - Under 16s and Under 18s
Published Tue 04 Mar 2025
Exciting news for junior softballers.
Softball SA is set to launch a brand-new Pathways Event for Under 16 & Under 18 athletes. This competition will be the first step in state squad selection for the 2026 Championships, allowing squads to start training earlier and receive broader, in-depth development before the final teams are chosen later in the year.
If you would like to represent SA at Nationals, a larger training squad will be picked from this event, giving players more time to develop on and off the field before final team selection. This event is compulsory for all Under 16 and Under 18 players who wish to nominate to play for the state.
If you are unable to attend the Pathways Classic event, you will need to seek an exemption (valid exemptions include previously booked vacations, medical reasons, or work commitments, as per State Teams Policy).
If you are not aiming for a state team, then this is also a great chance to play high-level junior softball and challenge yourself in a competitive environment.
Coaches, Umpires & Scorers: If you're looking to develop or gain accreditation or are considering at attending upcoming Nationals in an official role, this event provides real-time championship conditions to learn and improve.
